The Myth of A Blue Night
A Zine Made with Cyanotype Printmaking
This series of illustrations was created through a combination of botanical cyanotype printing and intuitive drawing. Often described as a process that captures the spirit of nature, cyanotype produces a distinctive deep blue tone that evokes the atmosphere of a dreamlike, fairy-tale night. Inspired by this unique quality, I developed intricate narratives and details within each print.
Every illustration portrays a mysterious corner of the natural world after dark, where plants, animals, and imagined beings quietly coexist. Together, the images form a poetic visual montage that invites viewers to wander through a mythical blue night and rediscover the wonder hidden within nature.
Le Mythe d’une Nuit Bleue (Illustrations au cyanotype)
Cette série d’illustrations est née de la rencontre entre l’impression botanique au cyanotype et le dessin intuitif. Souvent considéré comme un procédé capable de capturer l’esprit de la nature, le cyanotype produit un bleu profond caractéristique qui évoque l’atmosphère d’une nuit onirique et féerique. Inspirée par cette qualité singulière, j’ai développé dans chaque image un univers riche en détails et en récits.
Chaque illustration révèle un recoin mystérieux du monde naturel à la tombée de la nuit, où plantes, animaux et créatures imaginaires coexistent en silence. Ensemble, ces images composent un montage poétique invitant le spectateur à déambuler dans une mythique nuit bleue et à redécouvrir l’émerveillement caché au cœur de la nature.
